EVERYONE HAS SOMETHING TO SHARE
Just one of the reasons that Donna Bryson, owner of Clearview Minds Ltd, loves working at Collabor8te. As a recent member, she has embraced the collaborative environment and all the opportunities that it brings to her business. With a background in HR and Training consultancy her aim is to support young adults from the age of 14 + to make sense of the transition to adulthood.
Tell us about your business…
I have been the founder and director of Clearview Minds Ltd since March 2017. I am also a director of Clearview Brookes Ltd, and have been since 2001. Clearview Minds helps young adults make sense of the transition to adulthood. This means that we provide advice to help manage emotions during exam times, or for that important interview. We also support individuals move into work with a yearlong programme of coaching and training workshops including customer service, communications and team-working. No two days are the same, particularly as we are still in development mode, planning and writing content and scheduling dates for assessment centres and workshops. This runs alongside one to one sessions with graduates on how to control nerves in an interview using techniques such as NLP.
The flexible membership packages, that include the ability to book meeting rooms as well as desks, allows for the many different aspects of my business to be accommodated. The open, friendly atmosphere and ease of booking desks and rooms makes everything far more enjoyable and straightforward than working from home.
What do you do on non-work days?
Outside the office I love everything to do with writing, theatre, poetry slams and things of that nature. I also love spending time with the family and long country walks with my dog.
Finally, what are your top 3 tips to work from anywhere?
- Network, use your contacts and ask for advice – everyone has something to share.
- Have your business plan as a vision on your laptop/desk so that you are actively working on it always.
- Be organised!
Co-working means different things to different people, and frequently different things to the same people on different days! Collabor8te is a hive of industry, activity and entrepreneurial energy. The facilities – including the mix of desk spaces and meeting rooms – mean that you can work on your own business, whilst enjoying the community and networking opportunities at your own pace.
The monthly packages are flexible to suit your business needs as they develop. Co-working can benefit a whole range of business types – whether you are a service based company or product focused. But don’t take our word for it – in this member spotlight series we aim to give you a flavour of the mix of businesses that operate from our Montrose Street base, and let you hear from our members what co-working at Collabor8te means to them.
